Local news

For this weeks blog i chose to read an article, in My Springfield Paper. It was titled College Interns Help Grow Ohio Exports. I got the paper for free, at Clark County Public Library. The paper is dated August 25, 2016. It's focus  is on how Ohio exports have grown, through the help of Ohio State University students. Starting with nine students in 2012, this internship program has graduated 144 students. It has generated  $19 million, in estimated Ohio export sales. This writing was enlightening and educating. It was educating, because of the many facts it included. It was enlightening, because it enlightened me that undergraduate students can make a difference through local internships. It has me thinking about my own college career. What kind of internships and co-ops will be available to me? Will I be able to make a difference? These are just some of the questions I ask myself, after reading this article.

  1. I find this educational and enlightening. There are many opportunities and resources that are available to us that we do not know about. This has encouraged me to look into those resources that are free to us. Also TRIO is a great resource! I am apart of the group and they have helped me so much. I suggest that you look into it if you are interested in campus resources.
